Thanks guys. So the limited slip dif is an option yeah? I'm in Gibraltar by the way so I haven't even seen one of these yet! Might drop around some dealers in Spain and see if I can get a look at one.
Out of interest does anyone know when the next model of this will come out, will it be 1 year, 2,3?

Thanks everyone for the input. Sounds like the consensus is it's a great car. Am I right to say in the UK you are looking at £70,000 once you add the options most would want? The other car I've been thinking about is a GTR although down here they are equivalent of about £80,000.
Does anyone know when the C63 Coupe will be replaced, are we talking a year or two or more?

A few months ago, after borrowing an M5 demonstrator, I posted on here about how irrelevant modern performance cars are. Utterly disappointed that I was prepared to place an order for an M5 and found it slightly soulless, and essentially like driving a 530d unless you were doing silly speeds.
And then I borrowed a C63 demonstrator. What a completely different beast. Fun and bonkers at any speed, with a sound that was much more enticing than the synthetic BMW affair. Sure, ultimately not as honed as the E92 M3's I owned, but much more of an event and, more importantly, it put a grin on my face as soon as I turned the key (yes, a rare breed of car WITHOUT a starter button).
Utterly awesome. Utterly bonkers. The sort of engine we won't see the like of very soon. Mine arrives next month. And with the offers Merc were throwing at it, it seems a bloody bargain too.
If you don't mind me asking what kind of a deal did you get? I'm using a European dealer and they don't seem keen to budge too much. And then I borrowed a C63 demonstrator. I walked away with £9k contribution from the dealer after specing and got the paint guard thing (sry can't remember what called) thrown in as well on top...
I just sat there and said no until they eventually gave in to my demands.
:-)
That's a 9k contribution for the Mercedes finance deal though right, not 9k off list buying it outright?I just sat there and said no until they eventually gave in to my demands.

Yep but im fine with paying a few months of financing and then pay it off. There are no exit penalties bar 1 mths interest I think which is a little less than 9k...
Okay thanks. So basically you can get the finance, get a 9k contribution and then pay off the finance and pay a small penalty. Yet my dealer here will probably charge more than UK list price - hard to swallow I think, might have to look for something else!Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
