C63 Tuning Group Buy
Discussion
Ive spoken to Phil at Rebellion and he's agreed to do a group buy deal on C63 mapping. Standard price is £699 but he has agreed to £550 a head if we get a handful of names. If you want facts and figures I can find out but from memory I think 515bhp isnt unusual with their tune, bringing it up to almost DR520 figures with better drivability. Not sure when the tuning session will be done but we can work that out as we go. Add names below if youre keen.

I had my c63 mapped as part of the Eurotuned group buy on MBUK, it doesn't have an LSD. It made little difference to the traction issues as most of the additional power is at 5k revs and upwards. I'm not saying an LSD isn't worthwhile on a c63 but not having one shouldn't stop you getting it mapped.
Could just have an lsd fitted as part of the upgrade.chiefski26 said:
Msl performance birmingham done the remap for £500 so £550 seems expensive for a " Group " price ?
Depends on the quality of the product. MRC charge £850 for their product but id never say they were expensive as I know the quality of their maps. You can probably pay as low as £400 for a map but id be wondering why it was so cheap.chiefski26 said:
Was not a one off event, was jerrys second such event and i believe msl have another planned this year which jerry will be attending in person again.
A c63 recorded a 536 bhp figure with just a carbon airbox and jerrys tune the rest of the car was 100% as it left the factory and this was a non pp or ppp car just goes to show are headers exhausts etc really required or a waste of £ ?
I think having jerry tune the car is superb value for money as he seems to be a tuning god in amg cirlcles and the results speak for themselves go to eurocharged.com and have a browse.
A member here - palmball had a ppp c63 dynoed at 507bhp stock from factory so if one is spending thousands for a small gain over this figure is it value for money and how often will one make use of the extra power.
Surely if the maps are from the same source it matters not who is loading it. Does Jerry do any live adjustments or is it simply him applying the map? Ive read about his work and have always bee impressed. I'll be equally impressed with Phil no doubt when he loads the map to mine. Probably more actually as he'll also be fitting a carbon front lip to match the rear.A c63 recorded a 536 bhp figure with just a carbon airbox and jerrys tune the rest of the car was 100% as it left the factory and this was a non pp or ppp car just goes to show are headers exhausts etc really required or a waste of £ ?

The maps at msl were live maps with obvious gains once jerry had tweaked the original map.The carbon lip in my eyes is a waste of money as it provides no benefit but each to their own.

why would you want to retro fit an LSD? just trade in and buy one with an LSD simples
I reckon you'd lose more than £1600 by trading in a non lsd car for an lsd car????????Edited by bmw320ci on Tuesday 13th August 16:06
Also, its not the sls engine, only a few bits from it to lighten the internals. The sls engine comes with about an extra foot of induction feed as well as some other bits.

It should do well, the 63's also respond well to the carbon intakes, so if there is one available then might be worth adding this as well? Albeit not cheap.
Jules.
Bank balance is still recovering from having the quaife fitted so the carbon intakes are out for now. Maybe further down the line. I believe Phil does supply these however. Jules.
No joy with with the tune this morning. Something to do with the individual file coding of the ecu not being on the Eurocharged database (because its a PPP car car with some updates already installed). Rescheduled for a later date when the correct file is available.
I did pick up the carbon front lip though. Pics to follow.
