Evening, people.

I've been looking to change my daily drive for a couple of weeks now, and just realised W208 CLK's are on my radar and in my price bracket. W201 saloons have never flicked my switch, but the coupe version has always looked very smart in my eyes.

So I'm off to have a squint at this on Saturday :

I've done a bit of digging around on the net today, and as far as I can tell the reports are they're pretty solid with the exception of lower ball joints, failing pixellated displays on the dash, and wheelarch rust.

I just thought I'd ask the PH M-B beards if there would be anything else I should be wary of / look out for / listen to.

Any and all advice appreciated.

A non rusty one is a good car, what engine are you going for.
The one I'm off to look at ^^^ is the 3.2 V6.

With regard to the aftermarket alloys, they don't detract from the looks in my eyes. Although when I first read the ad and looked at the pictures, I was a bit uncertain about the state of the driver's footwell but thought [optimist]you never know, a good vacuum and some fitted mats and no-one'll notice[/optimist]
