C63 What a car.
Discussion
Just ticked over one year ownership
Taken it all over europe, added over 20k miles this year
Fuel costs aside, best car i've owned.
(I have had 15+ cars in 5 years and this is the only one i have kept for a year +)
I'm seriously considering keeping this for the long term. Seems like the engine would be good for big miles.
Still enjoy driving it every single time.
No point to this thread. Thanks.

So great to find a car you love, and for some reason the AMG combination of great MB car with a brilliant engine seems to do it for a lot of people! I was the same with my SL55 AMG (before I became a 4-seater family man ha.)
Keep on enjoying it!
Thanks :-)Keep on enjoying it!
Kind of ticks all the boxes. Practical reliable model, throw a massive engine in and away you go.
I usually keep a car for about 6 months then get bored of it - but i still have yet to pick fault with this car.

Same here mate. I think we bought ours at virtually the same time. Glad you're still loving it, as am I!
Yes it was, bloody hell a year has flown by!!Do you have plans for anything else or are you a happy C63 owner?
And if you ever fancy an AMG themed drive out somewhere, count me it
It's a hard car to follow on from...
I feel that i would feel instant regret if i did part with it.
M4 - don't like the noise or the turbos
F Type - lost the wow factor for me
New C63S - i'm sure it's brutal but perhaps lacking the rawness?
RS6 - Bit big.
GTR - not my cup of coffee
911 or Cayman - maybe the only way to go... Ideally a GT3/4 or GTS car.
The only stuff that tempts me from a C63 would be something like an AMG GTS/991 Turbo or Cayman GT4 - at almost 4x the price
I can imagine these being a petrolhead cult classic in the future along the lines of the E39 M5...

Agree on every single one. I fancied the F-Type when I bought the C63 but i'm not sure it's doing it for me now.I feel that i would feel instant regret if i did part with it.

Like you, I think the next step might be a Porsche - potentially a 997 GT3. I'm praying gen 1 values soften a little on delivery of the new GT3 - if i can pick a clubsport car up for low 70's i'll go for it. I'm also thinking of holding out for new gen R8 values to dip down. One of those in a couple of years would probably also do the trick. Want to stay naturally aspirated.
Oh and now summer is approaching I tend to do quite a lot of car activities but I seem to remember you're Manchester way. There is an event this weekend at Brooklands run by a friend if you're around?

Only 3 weeks into ownership of mine but the sentiment is the same. I thought it would feel like a tank but have been most surprised by its nimbleness (if that's a word).
Gratuitous pic just because I can...
Very nice - is that silver or white? Enjoy the car, i'm sure you'll love it for a long time to comeGratuitous pic just because I can...
The "nimbleness" was a pleasant surprise to me also. I assumed it would be like a muscle car, but it's reasonably sharp

997 GT3 is a great shout. I like how the GT models hold their value well. Like you, I think the next step might be a Porsche - potentially a 997 GT3. The new R8's are another good option, i think they look and sound awesome. Or a 991 GT3 but they are another step up price wise.
Yes i'm in Manchester but don't mind travelling, unfortunately busy this weekend have you anything else planned?

I've got an event tomorrow too - convoying with 4 Ferrari's should be great!

I have been a W204 C63 owner for well over 3 years now, albeit with a gap of 6 months between a 2010 and now my 2014 saloon. I can honestly say the only thing I would change her for is another W204! But it would have to be a 507. Nothing else ticks all the boxes so well.

I LOVE these in silver.
Whoever you are with the silver coupe, white leather (a dr i believe) having it serviced in stcokport MB - that is a lovely car!
And the chap i met at the train station buying a silver one in Manchester - if you are a PHer that was a lovely choice!
