I've had my 2014 C63 for just over a year now, and i still love it. Bought it with 11k on and now its just touched 24k.

as with my previous cars after a while i like to 'do something' to them to just freshen things up. In my case and with most C63s it looks fantastic as it is and i dont really need to change anything appearance wise, except perhaps blacking a lot of the chrome out.

im considering a Eurocharged (V7) remap from the likes of MSL. I hear time and time again that the remap opens up all 500ish ponies and is leaps and bounds 'more' AMG than present. But the other thing im tempted to do is a secondary cat delete to open up some noise.

my fear of the cat delete is that if i take them off and i dont like the sound then its not really a straightforward case of putting them back in.. or is it? One thing that puts me off the cat delete is drone inside the cabin which i definitely want to avoid.

which should be first do you think?

thanks for the replies chaps.

i should have emphasised i only considered a secondary cat delete for a little more noise as opposed to power gains, id rely on a remap for that.

a Eurocharged remap is £750, and if they did the cat delete a further £250.

Prospeed Cardiff can do the cat delete for almost £100 less, and have said they can fit flanges at additional charge so that i can replace the straight pipes with the cats come MOT time or for resell time. Sounds good to me?

could just take the car to MSL to get the mapping done at a later date then.

... Car is booked in with MSL on Monday for the sec cat delete with straight pipes, resonator stays as it is. I wont be messing with headers or the primary cats, or the resonator for that matter, and i cant justify the price of an IPE system etc etc as theres just no need.

come selling time i will have the cats welded back in. other than this my car is a factory standard car so i was a little on the fence about chopping up the AMG exhaust but i'll be keeping the car for some time so i dont really mind.

can't wait to upset my neighbors...

You'll enjoy the noise, and you'll spend more on fuel to hear it smile. I went the radical way and installed headers, which I regretted at first due to how raw it was but after around 500-miles it refined itself suitably, although it really is so loud still.
Yeh think that would be a bit far for me - have you had the car mapped? i think its next on the list but im not really convinced i 'needs' more power. I read many conflicting things about remaps on these two, as while they respond well to the Eurocharged maps it changes the drivability and power delivery on the car which seems a bit personal preference?

I don't know anyone whos had MOT issues with a secondary cat delete... it doesn't remotely effect emissions. If you start playing with the primary cats then yes that's a risk you take.

Secondary cat on the c63 is by far the best thing I've done for it, sounds fantastic with no drone as mentioned above. I have gone off the idea of a map, I'm reading so many conflicting reviews on version 7 of the Eurocharged map that its put me off a bit really. Its fast enough as is!
