Who built your AMG engine
Discussion
Just thought I'd start a thread about who built/assembled the engine in your car. Not sure if it's been done before but here goes, if you have any further info about the technician it would be useful. This thread may appeal more to the 'anorak' AMG owner.
Following a thread elsewhere on Pistonheads and a bit of investigation I've found out that there are only about half a dozen technicians who assemble V 12's at the AMG Plant.
Mine was built by Uwe Grober who also assembled engines for the SLR's.

There has been plenty of evidence over the years to prove the "one man, one engine" philosophy. Engine production is split over three different plants for starters, with Affalterbach alone home to more than 1000 employees.

Was looking up my engine maker and remembered I'd already started this thread in 2013

Apparently Steffen likes Queen
Thinking about it I suppose it was obvious somebody would have started a thread. They certainly had on the MB owners forum I frequent still no harm in another.https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=13...
