W210 / S210 Appreciation
Discussion
Hi all, I guess they are a bit of a dying breed nowadays, and most consigned to a rusty demise in the giant scrap heap in the sky, but I am curious if anyone else out there still has any love for the somewhat acquired taste looks and boat like handling of the W210 and S210 variety.
I personally love my wagon and even though it is a LHD, I drive it daily back and forth to work, a total of 90 miles everyday, 4 days a week (work from home on Fridays...). It's not the most fuel efficient given the 5.5l gas guzzling lump, but I just love wafting along in it. My commute is a genuine pleasure every single day.
Here is mine would be great to see any others, if there are still people that care about these old barges anymore?

I don’t think you can really lump your - delightful - E55 in with a ropey E200 Classic with obligatory gaffer-taped front wings and collapsing suspension!
.
Thank you. I just don't see any around but wish I did as I always enjoy seeing other people with the same slightly unusual car. .
I did though have an awesome moment yesterday (Thurs) on my way home from work on the M1. A (rather nice silver) W210 saloon pulled alongside me, then the rear passenger put down the window, hung half his body out of the car and gave me an almighty thumbs up which was quality! But to top it off he then clambered back into the front passenger seat!! So he had actually gone to the effort of climbing in the back to cheer on my old wagon. Totally made my day!!! If it was by chance anyone on here, thank you and respect!!
Very nice! Early one also and low mileage. Have you done any rust protection or had any issues?
Mine was imported from Japan to Dubai where I was living and now back to UK so thankfully has escaped the rot so first thing I did was have the rust protection done. Looks like a good job so hoping will be okay
