new member lancia delta 1600 GT

hi everyone! it would appear that ive managed to buy the last sorned delta 1600GT registered in the UK!? I have never restored a car before and OMG does this 1 need some work!!! missing a petrol tank,a brake calliper,tailgate completley gone,holes everywhere.....the list goes on and on.
My dad had 1 20 yrs ago and i loved it,he sold it the day i passed my test(coinsidence??).gonna need a lot of love,time and help to get her on the road again....wish me luck guys!chris.

Cheers mate,never had a car for profit,just the fun of the drive!last car was a celica all in marlboro livery and my 3 sons miss it a lot!the lancia is gonna be stripped down and sorted over time,cant wait to hear the engine for the 1st time!

totally mental how much rust is on them....must be different steel from hf and integrale's as they seem to remain strong and solid!?just had some axle stands made,stripping down going ok up to now but behind every panel and piece i take off is another grimace!!!! cheers lads.

NO EXHAUST,PETROL TANK AND ALL BRAKE CALLIPERS IN A BAG ON BACK SEAT( 1 MISSING!)
CAME WITH SPARE HEAD,ROCKER COVERS,2 BRAND NEW STRUTS,NEW HAND BRAKE AND MATERIAL TO REUPHOLSTER FRONT SEAT....REST OF INTERIOR IS GREAT.

GUY DOWN SOUTH GOT 3 LANCIAS HES BREAKING BUT WANTS LOADS FOR EVERYTHING,PLUS POSTAGE...EARLY DAYS YET THO!

cheers fulvisti,i downloaded the catalogues but couldnt read them as foreign!does anywhere in uk do replacement bits like sills,door skins,exhausts etc please? cheers,coops.

cheers for the links mate....the brake calliper place on ebay will be handy when it starts to take shape!!!
still cant find anywhere that actually lists any body parts such as sills and panels tho....suppose you have to ring them before they rape your wallet haha!

just a quick update....chuffed to bits as found most bits apert from panels i needed today!!!! got petrol tank,2x new headlights,complete exhaust system and new fuse box all off same car.cheers to kev from essex for all the hard work and great communication!!! just a years worth of welding to do now haha....and find a sill and hopefully a cheap rear hatch as mine is goooosed!!

little update for anyone interested....got a new battery and a gallon of petrol today,thought id try my luck firing the old girl up for the 1st time!she caughed and farted for 10 mins but after the fuel got in a bit she fired up and stayed running!!! pretty chuffed as bought as a non runner...even though she sounded like a stock car with no ehaust haha.

hate these late dark nights,cant get much done at all but spending time gathering parts like a winter squirell!!!got all steel needed for welding but no MIG as of yet,looking for a cheap 2nd hand one if anyones got one laying around?!

had a bit of a nightmare roadtrip to essex last weekend to pick up petrol tank,exhaust and headlights! id borrowed my neighbours works van and all was fine til some old pensioner rear ended me at 70mph near sheffield....we were stationary due to roadworks!
me and the wife both have whiplash and i spent night in hospital with a suspected fractured neck.
(refused the 'rectal examination'....perverted doctors haha!!!
managed to pick up my bits tho,really pleased with them,cheers kev lad.
hope to resume work on the GT when feeling a tad better!
