Hi Guys.

I've recently bought a 147 JTDM, the previous owner says the cambelt has been changed but has no proof so i want to get it check out.
Is there a way of checking a cambelt on one of these? or can you only see it as you start to strip it, ie easier just to have it changed?

And can anybody recommend a garage around the leeds/huddersfield area.

Cheers

Been in contact with the garage and they said they don't keep records for that long. So in that case, it's either not been done or was long enough ago to have it changed again now anyway. Have also been in contact with turin, they are quoting £435 for cambelt, water pump, tensioner and anti freeze. Sounds a bit pricey to me, what do you guys think! wish i had the time to do it myself but just haven't, ah well!

Cheers Bobda, I'm glad you felt the same. I had a quote from a local garage for £323 but as not being a specialist i'm not keen. waiting for a quote from JJB now.

Thanks for that, Have checked their website and wow yes they are cheap, but it is a 3 hour drive each way. might be worth it mind if i can't find anyone close to that price!
