Impulse purchase warning! (x1/9)
Discussion
On my way back from lunch I pass a scrapyard, as I approached it today I saw the back end of an x1/9 peeking at me over the hedge
Cue quick swing in there, keys are in my hand and im giving it a look over - battery was too flat to start it (going back tomorrow!), but its straight, underside looks pristine, even the headlights popped up. Some very light cosmetic rust, biggest thing is its missing the front valance
If it runs at all im having it

My poor little exxy didnt make it all the way home I think its first proper run in who knows how long gunked the fuel filter up something proper and she gradually lost power and died. No smoke, going back tomorrow to rescue her.
ps. on a 1 to 10, how much of a hairdressers car is an x1/9

The full v5 is still in the post so I havent spoken to the previous owner yet to find out the full story. It seems not entirely impossible that the car used to belong to the landlord at my local pub...
Ive lined up some time off to get her a bit more sorted out. I was very impressed when I was emptying it out of junk this morning - the only leak is where there is a tiny hole in the nosecone!
