Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio - Anyone Ordering One
Discussion
I think manufacturers go either of 2 ways:
1) cheap lease deals or
2) They discount the car by a good 15%
I actually think this might be a better outright buy depending on depriciation which will be linked to reliability. In theory it is right up there with an M3 and C63 as far as I am concerned and a preference because its different in a good way!

I Posted these on the other thread but I figure I will put them here as well...
Now annoying this below pic shows two of the three "finishing" touches which I feel let the car down in comparison to the M3 they had there. First up against the bulkhead you can see the two struts for chassis suspension. They should have been carbon fibre as they detract from the visual of the engine bay.
Second you can see the wing mirrors and the nasty plastic that attaches them to the car which does not look very premium at all.
Rear Seats in carbon seated car. Not the greatest pic as they some stupid strobing lights which my camera could not cope with..
Those a very very very small things - 1 you will hardly if ever see and the other can easily be changed if you are really annoyed by it. The more I see of the car the more I really like it - in fact love it

So I ordered mine in June, promised delivery in October. Then November.
Got a letter from Alfa UK over the weekend saying they are pleased to confirm that the delivery of my car will be in March 2017.
Having spent most of the month in the same state of excitement that I experienced on Christmas Eve 1979, I've got that 'dropped my ice cream' feeling now
Think I'll pop over to Maserati, see if I can find a way to cheer myself up....

Have you had any information on if this is across the board or just specific to you or maybe you added certain options that are causing a delay?

Does anyone have any idea of what sort of residuals they might expect at year 1 2 or 3.
Anyone who thinks its worth a quid in a year please dont bother to reply.
I actually really really hope and wish they bring out this veloce edition to the UK, I have a funny feeling they will but after a while to not take any lime light at all off the flagship model:

It's a beautiful car, but it'll depreciate like any other 4 door Italian I expect.
My PCP deal shows gfv @ £22k after 3 years, doing 12k miles a year. That's well over 50% . The salesman gave it the "it'll be worth a lot more, don't worry" but I bought a Quattroporte new in 2006 and heard the exact same story. That went from £90k to £27k in 3 years.
I've heard order books aren't overly full either, if they start giving discounts in 6 months, that'll really screw those of us who've joined the club early.
Well as I posted a couple of weeks ago I was offered 10% straight away for a straight cash purchase after a test drive...My PCP deal shows gfv @ £22k after 3 years, doing 12k miles a year. Resisted that one and like the previous poster will let it ride for 6 months or so, not at all desperate to be the first on the block, have made my decision to buy one when the time is right and placing my bet on saving maybe £15,000 to £25,000 in a year or so.....

Is the basic price for one of these the same as an M3?
Looking at the lease deals on offer on a like-for like basis, the M3's are nearly £100 PM more.
Which would tell me the discounts for the M3 are no longer there.
Even a dealer is advertising £5k of support without trying. Looking at the lease deals on offer on a like-for like basis, the M3's are nearly £100 PM more.

A quick call to a dealer shows there's still nearly £11k off a car with £65k list.

There's some serious confusion regarding these cars.
Supposedly no cars arriving til march. Now it appears some cars were delivered to customers on new year's eve, including Jeremy Clarkson. One other, a forum member had his arrive with the wrong spec.
Mine is built now I think and where I was told it had electric seats it now does not.
There's confusion elsewhere too.

Throughout the thread the main concern always was the dealer network and resolution of problems rather than concern about the car.
Shame
There is so much mixed information on here, a lot of it lies that are being told my dealers.
Waiting lists being long
order books being full
get in now before price hikes
no discounts
All of that seems to be lies expect for an expect small price hike.
I would say the car should be had for around the 54/55k car quite easily. All this pants about no discounts is utter rubbish

I'd ignore the price. They are purely drumming up interest. Some cars have sold over list, but not that much.
Certainly ignore that.
