I live in York and keep thinking about a 4C, the two dealers near me have "not seen one for two years" and I could do with knowing if certain dealers are 4C specialists. Also are there deals on new ones, or is it best to buy one slightly used.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you, I have a year old 991.2 GTS manual that I hardly use, so was thinking of something that does not have quite so much cash tied up in it for high days and holidays. The Alpine would be fun I guess, and trying to avoid the Cayman Boxter route.

Thank you, I have thought about Lotus and will have a look into them, they always look tiny and hard to get in and out of!

You’ve pretty much just summed up the 4C; “tiny and hard to get in and out of”
Has Sir considered an Alpine A110?
I most certainly have considered one, but the launch editions are sold out, and delivery dates are hard to come by. In fact any information seems difficult!

The Alfa network is a mystery, a fellow PHer from here kindly gave me the contact details for a dealer, I spoke to him and he was very knowledgable and had a car coming in. He mentioned a test drive and lending me a car. I have never heard from him again. These cars could be amazing but finding out if that is true is impossible.

That has been there a while, you can get a 2017 spider for 42k so it does not look like value. The only advice Imanaged to get from a fellow PHer is leading me to a late model spider.

So finally I got to drive one today! Kindly Superleggera put me in contact with Paul at Alfa Romeo in Chesterfield and we drove down this morning. Absolutely loved it, drove a spider, and my wife did as well. Thanks for all of the advice, especially Superleggera who has pm'ed me as well with loads of advice. Pistonhead at its best!

I am waiting on the dealer to give me some options on a couple of cars that they have available. Also I have to decide if my 991.2 manual GTS is going to go. It's a great car and tough to part with!

I may be able to help if it is a nearly new car you are after.
Possibly yes, do you work at a dealers. It is now Weds and I am still waiting for information from where I had the test drive. Is selling cars this easy that you don't have to call people anymore.

Yes I work for an AR main dealer as sales manager; if I can assist then drop me a PM with your telephone number and I'll give you a call.
I could not see the e mail button, can you pm me? Where are you based?

It looks from the PH homepage that the spider will live on with a facelift. The black one on at London Morgan on Auto Trader looks great value for a 2017 car.

It is a nice spec, and a nice car. The London Morgan one looks a bargain doesn't it.

So I finally bought one, thanks to all of the help on here. Robbie at Alfa Knaresborough posted that he would help above, and he did. He has found me a 2017 spider Anniversary edition. Thanks to everyone for their help, I will post pics when I get it. Thanks to Joseph at Supercar Sourcing for being a font of knowledge (Superleggera)

To be honest I went to look at it yesterday and it was immaculate, full front end PPF and the sills as well, my fellow P'Her has done me proud. Thanks to Robbie at Alfa Knaresborough, who has been a pleasure to deal with.

It his nice to buy a car from a fellow car nut!

That looks fantastic. Is that the Compezione red? I have much to learn!
