Busso V6 in an Alfa Romeo mito??
Discussion
Just out of curiosity and boredom really but do you guys think it’s at all possible to cram a busso v6 in to an Alfa Mito? Given it’s not a big car anyway and it’s front wheel drive my guess is that if it was possible it wouldn’t be able to go near a corner. But do you guys think it’s doable?

Might need to cut a bit of metal out the engine bay but anything is possible I suppose
Great idea btw, when does the build begin?
Need to track down a Mito and a Busso engine first. Only a pipe dream at present and weary of explaining it to the insurance company when it’s fitted Great idea btw, when does the build begin?

I've got the utmost respect for anyone able to pull off something like this... But allow me to share doubts on the combination.
The Busso is a great engine. Classic stuff, never coming back thanks to legal crap. Alfa has put this in pretty decent cars over the years, FWD and RWD.
What is a Busso-Mito going to do better than a 147 GTA or a V6 GT?
As previously posted, dropping one into a 159 would be great. Or the big dream, into a manual new Giulia.
This is why I’m so hesitant to do it, because it’ll be so difficult to track down a Busso engine and when I do, if the build goes wrong it’s another one lost to oblivion. However if it works it’d probably be the only v6 Mito in the world. A 159 would make more logical sense bc it’s bigger and can handle the power a lot better. But still, a one of a kind thing with the best v6 engine of all time, the rewards would be great. I’d only actually do this if there’s a guarantee it’d work

It is wonderful V6: I think the 12v version is preferred by fans over the 24v. Bussos have been dropped into several 105s and 115 Spiders with some success, although some feel they make the cars a bit nose heavy.
If the GTA version and FWD gearbox (and with a Q2/Quaife LSD modification) were put in the Mito, could the Mito chassis cope with the 250 bhp through the front wheels?
I guess it really would be one of those things where you don’t know until you’ve tried it with the V6 because there’s a company that tunes the 155 t-jet to 240-250bhp so I guess there’s people with that sort of power but lots of it comes down to the weight of the engine itself as it’s more than twice the sizeIf the GTA version and FWD gearbox (and with a Q2/Quaife LSD modification) were put in the Mito, could the Mito chassis cope with the 250 bhp through the front wheels?
