I'm going to buy an Alfa Romeo 159 within the next 2 months - Which Engine is the best to go for but probably more importantly which one is best to avoid !!!
Any pointers is greatly appreciated and who's recommended for servicing in the North West - THANKS

I'm going to use it mainly in summer to run around in, no notable distance work, just for fun (I have a van for work), have you done any mods or upgrades, I'm leaning towards a 2.4 diesel !!!

Thanks for all the replies, I've ended up with a 2.4 Ti, it looks great IMO and still cuts it parked up against my BM.

these guys are saying

https://www.alfaworkshop.co.uk/alfa_romeo_timing_b...

2.4 litre 20 valve diesel engines / 159 / Brera / Spider
Replacing cambelt, tensioner, idler and water pump including VAT GBP 450

The interval service on a 2.4 MJET cambelt is 90,000 miles or 5 years

i would go for every 4 years 70 to 80 K just to avoid the stress !!!
