Is it just me, or is this the dullest car launch season?
It feels like it's been like this for a while ... a steady move to livery launches over the last few years as well as the cars becoming increasingly similar with the ruleset not changing.

We may get some surprises at the start of the test days but suspect it's all minor tweaks or changes to copy Red Bull.
Yes - exactly this

I said exactly the same earlier in this, or on another thread. It was obvious the way it was going but the above would be so simple to implement.
I'm surprised it's taken this long to be honest.

If your gone use exposed carbon, Cant at least one team used the coloured version to make it interesting
Agree with this they could use black Carbon fabric for some bits and colourd carbon or Carbon / Kevlar or an aramid fibre for other bits it is a fabric with resin afterall al be it prepreg i would guess at that level but that could be made aswell

Presumably coloured carbon fibre is made by adding some sort of dye to either the resin or the mat, which one has to imagine will reduce the strength to weight ratio of the final product adding back most if not all of the weight they're trying to save by not painting the car?
Well the imitations are dyed, or added to the weave. Not sure how they do it with real carbon fibre, as the carbon is inherently black.

I do wonder if it has any downsides (production costs, weaknesses etc.) or I feel like the teams would do it if there wasn't much difference. Papaya carbon McLaren sounds alright.

That black Ferrari is another bugbear of mine with modern F1 cars ... side on they all look like they're running on Space-Saver spares!

Not sure which year this is, but it's a photoshop (signature in the corner).

The best shade of blue ever is back on the grid! I've missed the old Toro Rosso's when they were that colour

This does look the tits but the problem is we all know it's just there to be redbulls bottom bh sister team and won't ever win anything.

Agree with what's been said, these are just livery launches, I want to see the actual cars and what's new on them aero wise etc. as someone also said, that may just mean taking a picture of last year's redbull and adding a livery of your choice - hope not.

To deflect from their new name. Commentators can say "the blue car" instead.

Bit of a mess. I prefer all Toro Rosso liveries 2017-23. Especially 2018 ish.

It'll probably look better out on track

I wondered whether it was a nod to the Thai flag but that doesn't really work unless you reverse the read and the white. I think that'd look better.

The fact it actually has colour makes it the best so far by default, with Alpine being the worst.

I think it's a multiple nod to Honda and Orlen

Ferrari: We may well totally fk up our own plans this season, but at least our car will have paint on it....

Meanwhile, I see that the Stake F1 team is already dead, because it's been declared an illegal promotion of gambling by several countries in which it'll be racing. Talk about due diligence rofl

Stake will be replaced by Kick in anti-gambling countries, just like last year, and the year before.
