Lovely job, really good improvement, other than the matts imo.

Quick q on your rear lights - do you stick a reflector on for mot? Sorry if you already mentioned it.

...Little update on the interior, I'm attempting to fit Mercedes A-Class air vents..........
Apart from being bigger what other advantages are there for fitting these air vents.

I haven't had an MOT yet so still to be decided. Hopefully I can sort a reflector soon anyway.

It sounds like you're thinking with your head too much wink. I just did it because I thought the original vents were ugly and horrible. The A-Class vent to me is a much nicer design and makes the car feel more premium.

A new week and now time for the Pro Alloy 60l fuel tank installation. The standard tank is 38l and my range was pretty terrible to be honest, so a bigger tank, with the added benefit of being lighter and baffled and I'm rather happy!

A couple of photos showing the before and after:

Bet that was fun to fit! Did you take advantage and fit silicon hoses to the sill pipes whilst in there?

38l tank for a V6 unit ? Really surprised at that unless it's purely a weight saving measure. Fantastic spec car by the way having read this thread a few times.

My interior is now done!

Vents painted gloss black, you can also see the magnetic phone holder which seems to work quite well so far.

Heater control panel - I painted the surround liquid yellow, then with the knobs got the sides machined off so it's clearer which direction they're pointing. I then got them painted black too. It's a small detail, but it looks a lot better and makes it easier to control the settings, especially at night.

Today my new carbon fibre Tillett B6 Screamers were fitted. I went with diamond quilted yellow stitching which I think makes them a bit more interesting while not being over the top. For an extra £80 per seat I think it's well worth it.

Outside and I have fitted new Transforged Mirrors. Big improvement in the field of view which reduces blindspots so I'm happy.

And lastly, I got the tow hook painted black as I hated it in red! It's the little things which matter...

I'd imagine not a lot has changed over regular Elises. So cost rather than weight saving.

Interior looks lovely. I'd probably put a protective coat over the carbon sills though, unless you're fastidious about how you (and your passengers) get in and out they'll end up looking scuffed pretty quickly.

I could never bring myself to tell people how to get in and out of my Elise, but I have seen some people who demand that even other owners enter and exit their cars using their specific method. That's a bit too extreme for me!

Stunning car mate, I think lotus could learn a thing or two.

Hope to see the car and you sometime this year.

Brilliant! Tbh I don't usually look at threads of cars I can't afford! But I really like this and like the way you have gone about making it your own and the attention to detail.
You must also be a good photographer as the photo's are another reason I keep looking at the thread as they are very good and the car just pops out in all of them. Wish I could take pictures like that as I don't do my car justice when I take them.
