Channel 4 - Bring Back the Bush
Discussion
Watched it with my OH last night - fair play to the lasses involved for giving growth a go when everything they've been told since young was that it had to go.
Personally I've always been mildly concerned about blokes who insist their partner has the body hair equivalent of an 8 year old, but that's possibly because I grew up in a time when there was sometimes more bush in the magazines than there was on the hedge we found them under!
As one of the guys interviewed said, if bare is all you've ever seen in films & mags, then that's what you expect them to be like.

Hairlessness has been considered the feminine ideal for centuries in art. So while some might associate it with a childlike state most associate it with femininity, just as a hairy chest is masculine.Personally I've always been mildly concerned about blokes who insist their partner has the body hair equivalent of an 8 year old, but that's possibly because I grew up in a time when there was sometimes more bush in the magazines than there was on the hedge we found them under!

There is the apocryphal story of a Victorian man fainting on his wedding night because the reality of women didn't match up to the ideal. So this issue is hardly new.
