I watched it when it came out, I may have watched it once since, in the 90's when I had it on tape. I liked it.
Would be in my top 50 most likely, Westerns is a tough category, so many good ones.

Very much not a typical western, but I liked it a lot.

Controversial! But if that's allowed I'm having Outland, which is basically High Noon in space with Sean Connery as the sheriff.

I do enjoy a good western, and there's some really good modernish ones

Silverdo
Open Range
Unforgiven
Tombstone
3:10 to Yuma (I've not seen the original though)

Then there's the classics

Pale Rider
The Good the Bad and the Ugly
The Outlaw Josie Wales
High Plains Drifter
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

I can't make up my mind if Old Henry should be in here too. It's a good film but not really a classical western IMO.

I watched the Daniel Day Lewis version only last Saturday, absolutely brilliant movie. Not sure it's a Western though!

I watched the Three Amigos again recently, on Talking pictures I believe, loved it, I had forgotten how good it is. It would be in my top 10 comedy westerns.

Well now you've gone and raised the 'what is a western?' question. Tell us why you think LotM isn't?

I didn't, always think of most of Clint Eastwoods ones as being a lot older, forget how old Silverado is though.

I don't watch that many westerns, so can't get to ten.

The Hateful Eight
True Grit
No country for Old Men

Hell or High Water is western-ish
And if you can count Australian westerns, Mystery Road and any of the sequel/ tv series.
