Anecdotally, are there more single males or females?

Think a fair percentage of men now specially with more info out there have just completely abandoned traditional relationships/marriages/kids etc. Only takes picking the wrong women or for that partner to change and the guy is in a whole world of pain.
Not sure if UK is following closely but in America something like 30% of under 30year old males are now virgins and more single people than couples out there. I can well see UK being similar. Also marriage rates are falling and kids being born is dropping.
Another one is the least happy demographic of people is single childless women in their 40s.
It seems like men are seeing everything going on and just going oh sod this I'm happy single and don't want the hassle and either watch porn/ pay for escorts or just have causal sex to fulfill their needs.
