Jeans are casual wear,so casual shoes should be worn.

Trainers, boots etc are ok but anything normally worn with something more formal

should not be worn with jeans.

Black shoes can only be worn with black jeans, otherwise brown shoes with black jeans or brown shoes with blue jeans.

And when I say brown, I mean tan smile

It depends on the style of both shoes and jeans and the person.

I would agree with this.

Black shoes can be worn with jeans, they just need to be the correct style. PH is hardly the place to ask for fashion advice, have you been to a Sunday Service?...

This is acceptable, but black shoes/blue jeans is both common and slightly eighties/vw golf/loadsamoney/spiv.

The jeans will keep your legs warm. The shoes will stop the bottom of your feet from wearing away as you walk along. Any other consideration is irrelevant, and a little bit . . . you know

Actually, lets establish a few ground rules here.

NEVER wear the following:
Stonewash jeans, skinny leg jeans, white jeans, faded grey / black jeans, jeans that sit halfway down your arse jeans

NEVER pair the following:
Black shoes with blue jeans (with a VERY few exceptions)
White shoes with jeans

You generally can't go wrong with:
Blue jeans with tan shoes / boots
Blue jeans with sneakers
New black jeans with black or tan shoes

Feel free to edit as appropriate.

Edited.

Nowt wrong with Skinny Jeans or faded black/grey jeans with the right pair of shoes.

Often wear black faded jeans to work with a shirt/polo shirt and black leather, slightly pointed shoes.

I always wear shoes...only time i wear trainers is in the gym/running/squash.

I have a soft spot for Chelsea boots which go with anything and always look smart.

Definitely.

And if you must wear brown shoes, at least have the decency to roll those jeans up enough to show a bit of ankle. Socks, of course, are a bit of a no-no.
