Yeah, so I'm now well over 400 hours, not got one. You could play this game for a full year, and if you're a bit unlucky, never get one. That is ludicrous.
I've had one engine swap and that was the K20 from the new Type R. Have had 3 news in the last few days, the Genesis G70, one of the American custom card and the Toyota Crown safety car. Only had one 4 star roulette card though, haven't seen a 5 or 6 star one for a couple of weeks at least MCBrowncoat said:
Has anyone got an engine swap recently? I still haven't got one.
For something so requested to be locked behind roulette is crazy. I don't care if they made them ludicrously expensive to buy (multiple millions for the R26B - not sure how much it is to renew the engine for the 787B without checking) just make it happen!
It was probably 3 weeks ago but I won the LT1-Corvette engine. I haven't put it into the MX-5 yet but it should be interesting to say the least. Nope. Never. And it's really pi55ing me off. I see them on the roulette wheel occasionally, but it's just there to tease me.For something so requested to be locked behind roulette is crazy. (I think, it's where it shows other won parts and what they're for anyway)
Given the amount of detail in modelling of the cars Polyphony have done, it would've been very cute to have taken some engine bay and engine dimensions, and used that to inform whether a swap was possible.
Leave it up to players to decide what they want to put into what. I mean, much like real life, you'd have ended up with LS engines in everything as they're so compact, but it's hardly a bad thing that the 'simulator' would end up reflecting real life...
Part of Chevrolet, Ford etc. Brand Central could be a parts catalog where you could get new crate engines, that'd be great. Or I suppose you could just pull the engine out of one of the cars you own to add to the pool

I was hoping they would do this and I imagine down the line more engines and swap opportunitys will be added. It would be nice if you could alter the drivetrain of cars too but I doubt we will see that. Leave it up to players to decide what they want to put into what. Can’t ever see unlimited engine swaps happening, manufacturers licensing their cars to the game would never allow an engine from a different one to be fitted
I see what you're saying, but there are already some cases of that happening. Here's the current known list - as an aside, is the BRZ drift car engine in the Silvia Q's new, because I can't recall seeing that before and that is mad!

Spa 800 PP race - 1.5m credits for one hour. Pleased to have won on my first attempt..
I've done it 3 times Merc gtr LM McLaren gtr and Zonda r might see if I can do it in my twin turbo gto that's at 700pp might be good being 4wd in the rain. It's also good that rains different every time you try it.Stussy said:

I don't know, Forza has had all the engine swaps you can eat for a few versions, and drivetrain changes (convert to RWD, 4WD etc.)One thing that has been nice is seeing the AI cars with modifications on, it surprised me how much that added to the game.

I rrslly can't see where I'm going wrong here, have tried different setups from different videos with different tyres and none of them seem to work for me.

Haven't posted much recently, but been playing a bit. Good to see some familiar names on my friends leaderboards, beating some and getting whooped on others.
Absolutely loving having a full GT game again. Even the online races feel better to me than they did on GTSport.
