I'm 32 and I've been getting my winter plumage since I was in my late 20s. Baldness doesn't run in my family, so I at least don't have to worry about the cue ball effect.

I'm more concerned that my beard is turning from blonde to ginger though irked

Started getting the odd grey around the sides last year at 32. I was pulling them out but have given in now.
Tempted to try some dye as I generally have younger friends and women and don't like to look old but don't think I'll bother too much.

I started getting a few greys when I was 21 or so, it's be steadily getting 'worse' ever since - now at 36 people tell me all the time with great glee "you're going grey!!!" like I hadn't noticed or something - "going grey?" I say, "I've been going grey for more than a decade".

I once saw one of those ads on TV for a mild dye that comes out of a little brush like thing - even though I quite like my grey hair I fancied a go just because it looked so clever - the thought lasted about 15 mins before I laughed at myself and moved on.

Personally I'm blissfully married so not interested in impressing any Women per-se, but I don't want to look like a gargoyle either - but my Wife gave me my moment of Zen in regards to it a few years ago:

We were going out for the night so obviously preparations had started around 4 hours earlier - she'd plucked and preened, spent an age straightening her dyed hair, applied make-up and lotions and potions to make her features stand out and look like she was 20 when she was 30, but heals on to make her look taller and make her legs look nice, strapped the puppies into her 'special bra' amongst other things - you know 'the norm' about 15 before she finished I'd jumped in the shower, had a shave and brushed my greying mop and said.

"Hun, do you think I should try that hair dye with the brush??"

"Oh no, Darling, I can't stand fakes - be yourself, Women don't like fakes".

I am in my forties, and greying alot at the sides and a few strands coming through on top. the old man has a good set of hair on his head all grey but late 70's.

My experiance is that Girls love it, Gods highlights one of them called them and they also tell me it makes a man look very distinguished and I see some stunning looking girls.

I get a few in my beard, that can look a bit suspect but again no negative comments

Greying from my early thirties - think it actually helped in my job in a funny way as made me seem more mature (consultancy role).

Got to 40 and it was thinning badly - so had it clippered right down to a number 1. That was 6 years ago now and it has mostly gone on top so now I give the sides and back a clipping every three days on the lowest setting.

Funny thing is you never know whether your head will suit it until you try. Fortunately I think mine does.

Split up with my partner, of 14 years, last year. Now have a lovely 29 year old girlfriend, so the hair (or lack of) hasn't put her off.

Embrace the grey and the baldness I say! All about confidence I guess...

That said I spend more time removing hair from my body now then I ever spent on doing things with my hair when I had it. Shave head, trim eyebrows, trim ears, nose etc....!!

Now, here's a Q? Do any of you find women with well kept hair...including a little grey, attractive? I find there's a certain type of woman who can be stunningly attractive with greying hair. It's rare to see in the UK but I know two in France and Germany, both of whom would never colour their hair. They look drop dead gorgeous yes

I'm hitting 40 soon and only have a few greys but I'm actually looking forward to getting more. My mate is 41 and used to get lots of attention due to his Italian dark looks and jet black hair. Sickeningly, he gets more attention now he's not got much black left. It's the whole George Clooney thing. Unfortunately for me, my pasty English looks won't suit grey as much as him biggrin

Women look old/haggard when they are grey.

Men look fantastic with grey hair - keywords being 'mature', 'distinguished' and 'George Clooney'.

Bald men look even more sexy; what woman doesn't like to see the setting sun reflected on her partner's pate, to stroke the smooth surface, to comb the combover back....well...over?

Hopefully I'll take after my dad. He's mid fifties and has a few grey hairs, but mostly black/very dark brown.

My hair is mid-brown, so I'll report back in 30 years and tell you if the colour of hair makes a difference.

42 now, a few greys coming though but they are in the minority. My hair is quite light, used to very blonde when I was little. I don't think greyness is such a problem with fair hair maybe.

Grey as a grey thing and thinning on top: keep it short, keep it neat, job jobbed
