The airbrushing is a waste, really. It was obviously done with a modicum of skill but the subject matter is so pedestrian that it doesn't really offer any sort of improvement. What happened to the creative painting of the seventies and eighties? Admittedly a lot of those were much better executed, but the whole aesthetic sensibility seems to be a thing of the past.

To me it just looks like the person went on one of those traveling fun fair amusement rides and was like 'i want one of those' on his car.

This. It's the difference between painting a picture on a car, and decorating a car. They haven't made any effort to adapt the image to the fact that they're painting on a 3-dimensional object.

Yeah, after you've spent £2k getting rid of the "art" and at least another grand fixing the rust and you're left with a knackered French car that's maybe worth £1,000 on a good day, then you'll be really thor.
I don’t know man, he’s dreaming at £6k but at £1000ish that would be a good buy imo.

Blow over the mural and you’d have a great shed, maybe even a wee resto project if you can be bothered or take the running gear for a project.

Bloke I sold my last Mk3 Cortina to in Aberdeen turned it into a KITT homage. I made the circuit board for the "tracking" LED display on the bonnet for him.
I rather liked it - it made me smile.

Another top bling Mercedes.

Can't link to as it's on Facebook in a closed group (UK Barn Finds). It is quite special though.

If they ever have a crash the drivers airbag will go off like a claymore to the face from point blank range!
