Not the first time C4 have wrongly aired the bleeped & "please don't try this at home" on screen warning message version. Bit annoying but still a decent start this year.
Evidently lots of people took to Twitter to complain about the wrong version to which Alex replied "Ah, just come off stage & have been told many times that the wrong versioning Taskmaster was played out. Really sorry. Bleeped should be on All4. The normal version of this ep will be there soon. And normal service resumed next week. Thanks for understanding".
It appears Alan Davies has also reiterated his slight annoyance at the way the show ends up being cut / edited, that he first referenced on Sunday Brunch a few months ago, saying that it can make you look far worse / stupid than you actually were during the filming itself - which he says he really enjoyed, but not all of that came through in the TV edit. Evidently he's also sad that one of his best task responses, which was art based, is now only fit for the cutting room floor as the whole task had to be cut out completely after 2 of the other contestants created responses that were deemed "unsuitable" & "uneditable" for TV based on possible pornographic references
I can't wait to see if those will ever hit an outakes compilation now

He's made a career out of being the stupid one for the past 18 or so years. Bit late to whinge now Evidently lots of people took to Twitter to complain about the wrong version to which Alex replied "Ah, just come off stage & have been told many times that the wrong versioning Taskmaster was played out. I don't think he's really bothered, he tweeted this the other day

There’s an idiotic story online written by an idiotic writer for the idiotic Express saying that I ‘accused’ the @taskmaster
editors of making me look ‘a fool’. Here is a more truthful account of my time on the show: http://channel4.com/press/news/interview-alan-davi...
Make your own mind up when it starts…

The thing that rarely gets mentioned about Taskmaster is that the editing on the programme is extraordinarily good – I’ve rarely been on a show where the editing is so strong. They gather, from multiple cameras, reams of digital footage, and some of the comic timing in the edits and the way they put music over things is exceptional. I’m sure that’s one of the main major reasons they won a BAFTA, because the technical side is incredible. We can do pretty much anything, and they make it look either really funny or really daft. I felt as though I was in safe hands, because they want to make an entertaining show.
ps. don't read the rest of the article unless you don't mind (minor) spoilers"The Lost Swears" https://twitter.com/taskmaster/status/144142676981...

Morgana really is quite sweary
Looks promising for a good series!
She's just talking Australian really. Yes I know she left when quite young, but nobody drops an F or a C bomb like the Aussies.

Agree on series promise, they do seem to have almost bonded as a team.
Like Greg I appreciated that a few minutes into the first task Alex was getting some abuse. I'd have been tempted to look for a cricket ball for use in extremis, though a well chucked tennis ball can certainly sting.
