Yes it's pretty snug. But look, I've started on the ballasting at last!

Nice, I love trams. I have a Tomytec one & a shed load of N Gauge flexitrack to build a layout at some point in the future. I even have a layout planned somewhere on AnyRail which is freebie software for layout planning.

At almost the opposite end of the size range I have this running around my garden in the summer:

I think G Scale would be a bit too pricey for me.

When Shapeways sorts out it's uploader I will be testing some N Scale Lamps I made.
They are very tiny. 1mm wide tiny. Will need a 0.8mm drill bit and fiberoptic for lighting.

The Del Prado models are good bargains for dioramas since they are 1:160. and they kinda need the buffers moving to look decent.

I wish there were more off the shelf Southern locos in N gauge. Sadly, G&F seem to cater more for BR era or LNER,LMS

I recently got myself an eBay bargain for a dapol class 66 with my old companies' logos on it. That's started the n-gauge itch again. Trying my very best not to scratch it just yet..

My Dad models OO, always liked it myself, but as so many have said, the space constraints are a killer.

I look at it as OO = Door. N = Shelving Unit. Z = Suitcase laugh

Lovely if you have the option smile I could build something outside my north London flat, but I suspect it wouldn't be serviceable, or even present, for very long...

This has gone O/T from Z scale layouts hehe

Been toying with the idea of building a small 00 gauge terminus layout. The scenic items available these days are mind blowing compared to 15 years ago.

Looks like it runs right alongside the pavement, can you imagine what the "Elf & Saftey" would have to say if you tried that these days! eek
