Is this True? Gary Numan's face sprayed inside many TVRs...
Discussion
Just picked this up off Letters of Note, no doubt old news but true? YES/NO:
"Just been told a great little story about Gary Numan - there was a guy who worked at the TVR factory some years ago, named Brent, who adored Gary Numan. So much so, that on every car he helped build, he sprayed an image of Numan's face under the carpets. Numan - a TVR owner himself - soon caught wind of it and eventually got in touch with Brent:

Saw one over the Chatsworth weekend - Raceproved have a new shell etc for a Sag that they will build as a new reg. The transmission tunnel has a Gary Numan face on it.
I went to a Numan gig last year (which was rubbish :-( ) and was going to bring the Cerb but when I checked where it was in sheffield I had 2nd thoughts!

I have said this before, but the sentence in that link in comma's that states the gary numan was born Tony Webb in wrong. Tony Webb is Garys father, & manager, & the mail was sent from his account.
Gazzab, which gig do you mean was rubbish? I have seen many of his gigs over the years, & to be fair he rarely does a bad one. Sometimes the venue isn't condusive to the way he likes his sound, but in general I think most are spot on.

I saw him way back in 1980, was good then and heard he's better now. Would've liked to have been at the Nine Inch Nails gig when he guest appeared. I actually had the face sprayed on to my black 1960 vauxhall Velox running a small block Ford V8 in same year [I was only 21]Gazzab, which gig do you mean was rubbish? The Sheffield gig last year was rubbish! The old songs were very poorly performed and the latest rock stuff was very plastic. I have been a fan since 1980 and so maybe my expectations were too high.Gazzab said:
