Hi all.

As in the title, I have created a website on weebly but allready have a very basic site on 123reg that i want to get rid off. Weebly suggest that it is easy to transfer the web site to the 123reg domain hosting, but the 123reg site makes perfect sense if you allready know the jargon and what to do.

Has anyone experience of doing this through 123reg and if so what screens / options do i click on?

Sorry to be vague

your confused.

Sounds like you need to point the DNS for your domain to the Weebly hosting. Its difficult to tell from the post though.

Yes if you want to replace your 123 website with your weebly one then all you need to do is go into your DNS settings at 123 and make a couple of changes. I haven't done this for a weebly site myself but it's usually just a the "A" record and "WWW" entries that need changing.

Actually, google just found this: http://kb.weebly.com/domain-registrar.html

O.K I have followed the links and have gone into the 123 reg system under change DNS settings, here it tells me that my nameserver (being the website name) can not be used to change the DNS settings and must be changed to something else, all supplied, so i have jotted it down and began a futile search of their web site for the page that allows me to do this. However the good news is I did stumble accross a direct contact page (well hidden as I have looked before) so i have simply pasted on the pre written request that Weebly supply for the computer iliterate like myself. This has has now been sent to 123 asking then to sort it out.

I have lost the will to live and hate computers with a passion...
