MacG Racing Ultima GTR - Subsidised 24hr Drives Available

MacG Racing have subsidised arrive and drive seats available in their stunning Ultima GTR for the Silverstone 24hr race on 21st-23rd September 2012. The Team have spent considerable time and expense during the mid-season, with the car undergoing a full redevelopment program in preparation for this year’s 24hr race, with modifications including a new engine, transmission, driveshafts, uprights and aero package. The car’s performance and reliability was proved at Snetterton where it ran competitively at the sharp end of the field for the full 3 hours. The Ultima will be a front running car at this year’s 24hr – why not be part of it?!

Our package includes:

Full hospitality for the driver and guests at the event, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, provided by our Cordon Bleu chef
Full technical support throughout the event, with a comprehensive spares package carried by the team
Nutritional advice and training plan available
Test day prior to the event

The car has been built, developed and maintained from scratch by the team and as such the team know the car intricately, and are capable of carrying out most work at the track.

Topcats Racing have a subsidised drive available with their Championship winning Class 2 Marcos Mantis GT car in the Britcar 24Hrs at Silverstone 21-23 September 2012.The race will be part of an exciting race weekend .This car finished 2nd overall and first in class at Oulton Park at the Britcar round on 23rd June, 2012.

Mick Mercer:

I have run with teams and championships including MG owners ,Dutch modified ,racing on most of the European circuits , Radical both UK and European ,MGF Cup in its heyday (backing the British GP ,and crashing on the same corner as a certain MSC ,he broke his leg ,I broke my wallet),and out of all the cars driven I can honestly say the big green (Marcos Mantis GT3) is by far the most challenging but rewarding car I have ever driven, you become part of her and as long as you respect her limits she won’t bite too hard, but make a mistake and she will let you know! I would suggest to anyone who think they are the next Mr Hamilton to try their hand and drive a real car with no fancy trick bits, just raw power and ability .
As for the team I always come away from the week end feeling part of a big family and always do my utmost to thank all the boys (and girls )for their input, I get the best bit of the week end but never forget that without them and their effort I would not have the enjoyment that I do.
I have been with the team for 8 years, I would not even think about moving teams for any reason ,unless Mr Dennis were to offer me a test programme (right!!!!),and to finish that off WHEN I have to hang up my boots (not yet ) I would still want to be part of TOPCATS team for as long as you can put up with me and who knows help take it to the next level if that’s what you both want, but to be honest if it’s not broke don’t fix it!

Owen O’Neill:

Coming from the TVR championship, I found the Marcos a natural progression from the TVR Tuscan. It’s still an extremely overpowered car which needs a lot of respect and brings the best out of a driver. Unlike many more modern GT cars, what you get out is in direct proportion to what you put in, and the driver/car connection is very undiluted with modern electronics such as traction control and ABS. Many people might argue that this could put you at a competitive disadvantage, however the track record for the Marcos against 997’s and various Ferraris and Ginettas in Britcar would disprove this theory. If anything it makes the drive more enjoyable and enables the driver to evolve and learn more. This is my third year in the Marcos and I’m still learning lots.

Jon Harrison:

I have been with the team for about 7 years now. I have some fantastic memories and achieved some incredible results with the team over the years. I probably would have retired from racing by now but I find myself coming back as I can’t resist the urge to get back into the Marcos. I have a great relationship with the team and count them as my good friends.

I have only done a handful of races in the Marcos since I discovered racing just a few years ago (I am in my forties!) due to finances, otherwise I would do it all the time! One word....mental!

Silverstone 24 Hour Race Drive Available



I have one seat available in our BMW E46 M3 CSL for the Silverstone 24 Hour Race.

Car succesfully completed the event in 2011.

Cost is just £4500+VAT based on 5 drivers sharing the car, inclusive of accident insurance.

Glynnsport TVR Sagaris V8 - Oulton Park 23rd.June

A space has become available for a second driver in Steve Glynn's stunning Sagaris at the 3hr round at Oulton Park. Although it's a subsidized drive you would need to have some budget available. This would include testing at the circuit on the Friday 22nd.June with the race program on the Saturday. Suitable experience of racing cars of this p/w ratio is a must, as is a National A license. Motionsport Lotus



In 2011 Motionsport became Britcar Production Class 1 Champions with their endurance spec Lotus. 2012 sees Motionsport make a 2 car assult on the MSA British Endurance Racing Championships.

We are seeking a sensible driver to complete our lineup in the Lotus for the 2012 season. Drivers should have a reasonable budget and a minimum of a National A license. Comprising of 8 rounds across the UK, the BEC is one of the toughest and most rewarding race series. Rounds are generally 3hrs long with duties split between two drivers.

MGA Motorsport Drive Available



MGA Motorsport has a drive available alongside Ryan Cefferty in their Production Cup Championship class 3 Mazda MX5 for 18/19 Aug Britcar double header (2 x 90min) @ Snetterton testing Friday 17 Aug Modest budget required and this car was in 2nd place in the last round at Oulton Park until a driver error and finished 3rd at Silverstone (team Silverstone result 2nd and 3rd). The car should be running some upgrades for Snetterton making it a good podium prospect.
