In all honesty it was covered up by a bit of keyboard goo, time for a new keyboard me thinks hehe

Also just for clarity - its is just a "hash". A hashtag is a hash with a tag word next to it, used in twitter etc, e.g. #keyboardgoo

North America # is called a pound sign,
Do north american macs show # on the 3 key and have £ on the alt function?
