think some one needs to come up with a revised mod for the chassis ,may be worth doing when the body is off.

Harry Metcalfe does sum the Griff up well in his video there.

It is very interesting what he was saying about the McLaren rig.

If they totally fked up! I've been having alot of fun in a really fked up car, & more to the point just imagine how fast i would be in a great handling chassis like a Tuscan Racer hehe
On a serious note there have been times were mine has felt as good on track as much newer & better track hacks,so i would have to disagree in the "it's f_up statement" but then it's all personal.
I also think my driving skills would run out way before the chassis weekness' became apparent on a well set up chim or griff!, especially with a standardish 270bhp.

I think there are three things to consider here:

1. The most important thing - Harry Metcalfe purchased a Griffith knowing very well the story he recounts about the McLaren chassis rig. If he thought it was that bad he wouldn't have gone near it.

2. After purchasing, he kept hold of it for a year - and didn't really have a bad word to say.

3. Harry must have driven nearly all the most exotic sports cars available in the last god knows how many years, I'm sure if it wasn't a memorable car - he wouldn't have bothered making the videos...

Cant fault mine but then its just a road going car. I`m sure the chassis will outperform most peoples driving skills bar the most experienced track day people.

I wonder what the price tag will be for (all) that, going to add up to quite a bit I guess.

I would be interested to know a little more about it. It might be worthwhile combined with one their LS conversions.

Either way it sounds all a bit to much for my modest needs wink

Maybe you should consider replacing the floppy chassis with a carbon-fibre monocoque tub?

Myself - I'm quite happy with the looks, handling and performance of my lovely!

Even if her undercarriage is a little 'behind the times' smile

When she shifts, she really does move with a purpose! cloud9
