I took a day of from revising for my finals yesterday in order to go for a spirited drive around mid Wales. It's a beautiful place with some incredible roads. Anyway, just a few photos from my little trip - comments/criticism/tidings of joy are all welcome!

It's the B4574 - starts just outside Penparcau to the south of Aberystwyth town centre and goes all the way to Rhyader. It's flipping incredible!

Wow, amazing. You are very helpful. Kind of regret helping you in the past with an attitude like that.

Op, loving the first shot, Wales certainly is lovely!

Well seeing as I happened upon it with pure luck when randomly taking turns driving through Wales, I wasn't 100% sure where it was. I have it in the satnav because I programmed it as a favourite when I got there... Having only been to that general area of wales twice in my life it's still not easy for me to find stuff on a map!

Oh, and the OP is a mate of mine, so we'll go along to the road together at some point, so I don't see a problem...

I'm probably mistaken but I think it's the road to the north of Lake Vyrnwy

http://g.co/maps/342rj

There's a superb loop you can do that takes in Hellfire Pass as well

smile Thought I recognised it

Here's the TomTom ITN file (circular route taking in a bunch of lakes in North Wales including Hellfire Pass, approx 150 miles IIRC)

Start and finish is at Betwys Y Coed
