Mike Bressington's article on 4-piston AP's from the Princess is here:

You can get stainless pistons for them. The 10mm spacers to suit the vented Granada disc are no longer available, or maybe they are, depending on who you talk to.

When I put vented Granda disks on mine 10mm was not enough, I had to get 12mm spacers from a well known brake refurb outfit to fit....

Did any of you notice the vented brake set that David Gerald was advertising at the Fest?
Seemed reasonable at £200 a pair or £260 with green stuff pads and braided hoses.
Seems like a bargain to me and is a direct fit
Hope this helps?

I've just fitted this setup to mine - couldn't tell you what it's like yet as never had the car on the road!

Standard M16 calipers with a vented spacer kit from Rally Design.
Standard Mk2 Granny vented discs.
Ferodo DS2500 pads.
HEL braided stainless steel brake lines.

The rears will be rebuilt to standard spec but with DS2500 pads and the remaining SS brake line from the HEL kit I bought.

I have sitting in my garage somewhere a Tuscan Red Rose conversion for the wedge. (Calipers, discs, bells and caliper brackets) I think will only fit a 17" wheel shod car though.

There is an article on the web about a Toyota conversion for a TR6.

Before you say "What?" ... Cortina/Granada/Wedge (non-vented) have M16 calipers, which are the metric version of the PB16 fitted to stuff like TR6. Later TR6s actually had M16 calipers with special bolts (metric shank, imperial thread).

It's a USA site, but their article confirms that Toyota 'Pickup' (Landcruiser ?) 4 pot calipers fit the non-vented TR6 perfectly, and therefore they should fit a Wedge too. (don't know if there might be wheel fouling issues though).

www.vtr.org/maintain/brake-conversion.shtml

just a thought as it's probably a cheaper way to get 4 pots - Toyota stuff is everywhere here in NZ, it's one of the things I would look at for a brake upgrade....

These are mine, calipers are Mitsubishi Evo, discs are BMW X5 - both machined to fit.

P.S. that's waxoyl on the chassis not rust!

simonwedge, that looks very similar to the front setup i have biggrin

i take it theres a bracket to go from the original hub mounts to the brembo caliper lugs?
and what size discs are those and what size wheels do you use?
