Just bought an 09 Tiger with 11K miles.
Well actually my Dad bought it but i can avail of some 3rd party riding! smile
First impressions are great! unbeliably responsive, well specced, immaculately built and sounding fantastic with that 3 pot engine and a Remus can...

Anything to watch out for?

I've had mine for two years now (and had a speed triple before that), the only thing that it's ever done wrong was use a little oil when being thrashed in Germany. To be fair it was in the top third of the rev range for hours at a time and hasn't used any in normal riding.
A great do everything bike.

They are superb, almost 3 years and 43k miles on mine, only had one issue, quickly dealt with by triumph (seized fan bearings) other than that it hasn't missed a beat, a great all rounder bike.

Also had one for three years and very happy with it. Must admit I have had the suspension fettled by Maxton and replaced the lights with HID kit (makes a massive difference) but agree totally on the superb engine, great riding position and excellent comfort for long journeys.

Worth also looking at the Palmer screen kit if you want to get cleaner airflow off the screen and also junking the stock can in favour of something lighter. I have the Triumph luggage but to be honest I prefer to use the Ventura kit which I originally bought for another bike but which is very easy to use and keeps the profile thin for filtering.

(that's my jacket over the ventura bag by the way, not a very short pillion!)

My brother had a 1050 in Orlando and has just bought the 800 now that he has relocated to Madrid. His first major excursion was riding 750 miles in a day up from Madrid to meet me in Le Mans and he couldnt stop singing its praises. Very comfortable and I am tempted myself.

Do you have a picture from the front of the bike of the screen? I'm considering selling mine to scratch a Blackbird shaped itch but may keep it longer (really not sure yet!).
