Time For Tea? Challenge Block!

Calling all have-a-go hoonigans - your chance to prove your gymkhana skills against Block himself beckons!

Stuck for something to do this weekend? Inspired by all that Ken Block debate and reckon you could do better? We'd love to obviously but we've got something on. But if anyone else fancies a crack there's an open invitation via Gymkhana Grid to prove your worth in the UK qualifying round this weekend, ahead of the final at Santa Pod's Flame and Thunder event at the end of the month.

The French have had their go, now it's us
The French have had their go, now it's us
All explained neatly, and very amusingly, in today's Time For Tea? vid. Which just goes to prove that, whatever you make of Block, you can't accuse him of taking it all too seriously. Amen to that.

Following an opening round in France (video here ) events here in the UK at the Trax show at Silverstone and then in Germany and Holland will sort out the contenders for the final. Drivers of four-wheel drive cars will face Block, rear-driven heroes Vaughn Gittin Jr.

It's not too late to enter either , which has got us inspired for this week's Shed Of The Week browsing. Buy a shed, take it to Silverstone and beat Block? Go on somebody, do us all proud!

Finally, a chance for all the PH'ers who poo-poo'd Block and seem to think they can do better.

Brilliant, this should be fun...

Just what I thought, there are plenty of folk on here that deem drifting and all that as a piece of piss.

If this was genuinely "invading Europe" then they should change the phrase "tranny thrashing".

They're definitely fairly deep....some say that's the reason he ran out of fuel so often!

Get round to the most derisive keyboard warrior's abode (likely to be living with their Mother) who said Ken Block Can't Drive.

Sit said superstar in suitable car, get camcorder going, rush to the Internet and start the usual slagging.

Make sure it's grammatically correct though.

Fair play to Ken. He's taken some stick recently, but he's clearly taking it on the chin and welcoming all the I-can-do-betters to put their money where their mouths are.

Given the huge number of critics from recent Ken threads, this one (which should be made for them to prove their points) is oddly quiet.... tumbleweed

Come on, I'm expecting a queue of PH'ers to beat a path to Ken & co driving If there isn't a PH smiley liveried car in the final, we're all going to be disappointed!

I cant tell you how much I want to go do this....id lose, horribly, but the chance to go and slide a shed about for free seems too good to pass up, surely? Why dont teams of 4 chip in for sheds and have a little unofficial pistonheads comp? biggrin
