Thanks. I was unaware of any of them. I just fired up the game and got going. Started to realised "joy12" for frame shift etc were very hard commands to follow as I had know idea which button on my hotas was joy12. I found a naming map for the x56 Logitech that I had and alt tab between the two like a fool. I had ditched my multi monitor setup but I could easily leave my laptop or an ipad on the key map so that I can find them without alt tab. I'll give it another go tomorrow and see whats what :-) Cheers for the links.

I also use EDDI - https://edcodex.info/?m=tools&entry=346

Connects to Frontier, EDDN, EDDP, EDSM, Inara, lots of offline data for your ships, materials and missions.

I don't use the HCS voice packs I use this instead as it has it's own text to speech engine, you can use any voice you want that you can find available.

New Thargoid combat zones are featuring in the climax of the Azimuth saga.

No new ships but you can see a Farragut Vs Interceptors battle.

Highest level CZ has a double Hydra instance...

Update 13 tomorrow, servers down from 8:00 - 15:00.

Expected to include updates leading to the conclusion of the Azimuth saga and Frontier has strongly advised to be in the HIP22460 this week to see what happens. Hopefully some sort of earth shattering kaboom.

Not sure if the capital ship combat zones will remain in the game post update, they're good fun although I've died more often in the last week trying to kill a Hydra than I have in the previous year of playing.

Well I never knew that. You can use Alexa to control your ship, like any other voice command software.

Just add the skill - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Unofficial-Elite-Dangerou...

And then I read the setup - https://www.hackster.io/mathwuy/elite-dangerous-sh...

Has anyone tried it? I'd kind of like to get some feedback before I go into Lt Commander Data mode to set it all up.

Looking on the subreddit seems like it has been around for five years but not hugely popular for whatever reason. I could speculate that Voice attack does more for a modest investment.

So the cinematic end to Azimuth wasn't bad, I can't help feeling the community produces videos of very similar quality though.

Not much new to do other than for the hardcore AX crowd or the very dedicated puzzle solvers.

I played through the defend the cargo ground mission with a friend and it was fun although a bit of a cakewalk with him sporting fully upgraded rocket launchers.

In less cataclysmic news there's a planet collision (lol) tomorrow at Reienadi 2B and 2C.

I’m in the absolute middle of nowhere. I headed out on a journey at least twelve months ago, possibly longer. Playing once a week or so.

I’ve decided it’s time to head home. Plotted a route to Yakabugai.

It takes me at least a minute a jump. Every ten jumps or so I need to refuel.

Hmmm may take a while. 928 jumps to go…

Oops, bad phone typing sorry.

Needless to say lots of players are looking at it.

In timelapse it's dynamic In the skybox which we've not seen before iirc.

No idea! (On holiday at the moment so can’t check)

Somewhere ‘North’ of Sagittarius. I made it as far as the border of Mare Somnia, but damaged my ship when arsing around through a planet’s rings. Hull down to 30%.

Have loads of exploration and scanning data to claim for on return… if I make it.

That’s ace, I’ll take a look, thanks.

I should use more online resource really, but generally just get on with it.

You're welcome, I hate the dread feeling of carry around stacks of first discovery data.

The online tools are invaluable for trading and material hunting and overall efficient money making.

The Reienadi collison was fun to watch although my ship is currently trapped under the surface of the planet, I'll log back in in a few hours to see if it is still stuck. Inara says 1400+ Commanders were there to see it.

Good pics going up on Reddit.

Realised I had never owned the last of the big ships, so decided to throw millions at a Type-10 and build an imaginary crewed ship as in all weapons on turret control.

Threw a lot of spare modules I had lying around (smaller sized but already engineered engines just for better speed than a class 7 A)

https://inara.cz/elite/cmdr-fleet-ship/22088/40476...

Not sure what I will do with it for now, perhaps just do some sight seeing. Total value of it is more than my Corvette now..!

That's quite the mixed loadout. I've never really tried frags although I've heard they're a gankers best friend when engineered.

I built my T10 with long range pulse turrets for AFK high Rez pirate massacres.

Unless you use an SLF npc is won't last forever like some claim but it can be left unattended for a good 15min just swatting pirates lured in with a hold full of gold.

Went 2000LY out from the bubble yesterday for a light at "The Anomaly" it's an eerie sight for sure. Surrounding systems are rammed with carriers.

I just threw what I had in my stored modules onto it, buying an extra turreted large multi-cannon to match the 3 I had in storage. Frags are great for close in action, I think they were used on a previous mining build for defence.
