Hi all,

My first post here! Hopefully this is in the right place.

Besides being a car aficionado, I love a good action film! There are so many great movie cars out there, from Vanishing Point to Back To The Future's Deloreon and the brilliant Christine!

I got a new DVD at Christmas, The Baytown Outlaws and absolutely love it. The cars in it are incredible, including a gorgeous muscle car and a customized Mad Max style truck. I'd definitely recommend checking out the film - it's great!

So, what are your favourite movie cars? smile[

Cars wasn't that bad but the Clarkie voice-over was crap and Schumacher as dull as ditchwater.

Greatest movie?

Hardly.

Suppose I'll have to add Bullitt's Mustang.

Didn't know that Phantasm had a cool car.
The Last V8 Interceptor looks the coolest car on the page so far.

I place cars in movies in three classifications.

3# A film that has a large car sequence, which it might be known for, or an iconic car, though it's not a car film. Examples; The Blue Brothers, or any Bond film.

2# A film about cars, which is ostensibly centred around automobiles. Examples; The Fast and the Furious, Gone in 60 Seconds.

1#. A car film, where the car is the star. Examples; The Love Bug, Christine, Car.

Only yesterday I was daydreaming (as I was travelling along it) of riding the beast below on the M62.
