fsmail.net conumdrum
Discussion
My father has had his "fsmail.net" email account for years. Yesterday, he tried to log on as usual after a few weeks not checking it (he's almost 87 years old and so doesn't check it too often) and was unable to do so.
He assumed that his password was at fault somehow and so tried to change it. However, when he went through the various stages, it emerged that fsmail does not recognise his actual email address at all. A message appears that it is was not a valid address.
Though, when I tried to open a new account for him using the old account address, I was told that that address is already in use.
I've tried to log on myself on several different machines. To no avail. fsmail.net, which turned into Orange and is now EE, are unable to help. When I call the helpline, they pass me from pillar to post. There seems to be no email address or telephone number for fsmail itself and so no one wants to take responsibility. They are worse than useless.
It seems that my dad will have to open a new account with someone else. Obviously, that's not too much of a problem. My question is, can an email system "forget" one of its addresses? I've never heard of anything like this.
Anyone got any ideas or leads?
Thanks.

It's only been a few weeks since he used it. I've got email addresses I've not used for months that are still active.
Is he still a customer of Orange? or was it a free one?"Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550 5.1.1 Adresse d au moins un destinataire invalide.

It's not clear if this applies to fsmail as well, but it could be likely.10.3 You may terminate this Agreement and your use of the Service at any time by refraining from using the Service for a 90day
