Hi guys,

anybody here who has a spare bellhousing (FRC 133 CA) for me. It needs to be sent to Germany rolleyesrolleyes.

A very talented mechanic has cut a big hole into my bellhousing.

Greetings

Hi Bernd - that would be the "clutch arm fiddling" hole!

Although it's usually cut out of the side.

Hi Adam,

as you describe it it seems to be common technique to fix problems related to the clutch fork. I'm not shure if I should leave as it is because another bellhousing is hard to find.May there be problems with the clutch caused by the missing edge?

I am guessing there's a cover that the "engineer" made who did it? Looks like mounting holes for it anyway.

As long as the cover keeps the water/rain out that's all you need to worry about.

Keep an eye on the corners where the cutting was made as if it's going to fail, you'll start to get cracks most likely spreading from the corners. But it should be fine because there is a hell of a lot of metal all around the bellhousing which spreads the torque to the gearbox.

You're right. Here's a pic of the nice cover.
