Hi all,

Long haired MsGrr has noted that bath doesn't drain properly, no mystery there really, so I've just spent the last hour under it draining the last bits down in to a baking tray before fully removing the u-bend and releasing the blockage hurl

I can still feel stuff up in the drain though but can't really get to it. It's got a click-clack plug which I thought might just unscrew allowing me to stuff something down the hole to clear things out but it doesn't want to play and I'd prefer not to get to physical with it just yet as I'm probably missing a trick.

Top and bottom look like this:

So any ideas on how to get in to the thing so I can call it job jobbed?

Cheers,
Rob

I've only ever come across ones that unscrew, just twist a bit harder!

You're right guys, got a rubber glove on and it gave in, so one clean plug hole. I'm saving the horrors I removed to freak out MsGrr later wink

I don't know or care, it doesn't leak so that'll do me!

Ah, I thought you were trying to unscrew it.

It had crossed my mind but once I got the top cover thing of I was able to clear it out pretty well. Might go and look at the other bath now I'm on a plumbing roll wink

Have you tried a upwards pull to release the 'plug'

I always thought they were a push-fit fix like these basin wastes we have just installed in a office re-furb.

As you can see they are a kind of friction fit down to the ridge inside the waste pipe.
