From Hagerty's Facebook page:
It is with deep regret that we have to announce the sudden and unexpected death of Janet Cesar. Janet was a close friend and colleague of all at Hagerty International and was doing a remarkable job of heading up and developing the classic car club side of the business.

Janet joined Hagerty in January of 2013 and immediately brought her flair and incredibly vibrant and jolly personality, which infected us all. She was very well known and loved in both the motorsport and classic car community and her sudden death will have a profound effect on us all. The Hagerty International team is a small one, so this loss has been all the more devastating. That said, the team have rallied around and provided support to one another in these difficult times. All our thoughts and prayers are with Janet’s parents, her daughter Rukaya, and her partner Ian.

On behalf of the Hagerty team,

Angus Forsyth
Managing Director

Anyone who met or even spke with Janet will not forget her a she was such a breadth of fresh air and a bundle of laughs.

RIP Janet

Such was Janet, that she would rightly be mentioned on PistonHeads.

A true lover of life and fun person.

Sadly missed but not forgotten by all at the Silverstone Racing Club.

I only met Janet a couple of times but I remember her as very bubbly and enthusiastic about anything car related, RIP.

Condolences to the family.

How sad, Janet was due to do a tour of Scottish clubs this summer and had provisionally booked some time with me to talk about a show I organise. Condolences to all who knew her..

I am shocked and saddened to hear this dreadful news. I had e-mail communication with Janet and only met her once but could tell she was a lovely personality. Her enthusiasm was infectious and an she was excellent ambassador for Haggerty.

My deepest sympathies to her family.
