After battling windows 8, samsung KIES for over an hour as well as dragging them from the loft and trying to set up a background... AArrggHH

Here are the first piccies of models from the former Patrick Wall Collection.

Most of the first ones are pretty easy but there are about 150 to go !

So here we go (apologies for the first as an extravagance but the back one can be one of two. Which one?

Some others

Is the last one a small plastic model that's been dropped?

Mercury and Maia are rather a giveaway; below that a Manchester.

Me110; a Valiant perhaps?

1. Airships - Hindenburg (obvious), USS Akron or Macon
2. Vickers Valiant
3. Short Maia/Mayo composite
4. Fairey Hendon (pre-war bomber)
5. Messerschmitt Bf110
6. Vickers Valiant (again)
7. Not that well up on Japanese WW2 aircraft - a Gingka?
8. Bloch 152

Some will be obvious but still will put them in.
Come on Simpo, they've been in moved twice and in storage since 2001 so some are in need of maintenance. Some of the build quality is excellent, some like I built them!

Ta Eric looks good (It was Akron, not Macon).

I took a few more pics today but they are more than 2 MB so I can't upload. I also can't find how to reduce the resolution on this wonderful windows 8 that is in great danger of making me try and put the first touchscreen laptop in orbit...

Will try again tomorrow...

Ah yes, I have been trying to get my head round 8.1 for the first time today on a tablet, after being used to XP Pro on two proper monitors. Something I can normally do in 5 secs now takes an hour, if I can do it at all. They call it progress.

It's not just you. I can do things in seconds in XP on my proper machine that either take 20 minutes on an 8.1 laptop or are patently impossible.

Try to find out if the "VSO Image Resizer" works on W8,

I used it on XP and now 7 and it´s great, free and allows batch handling,

also adding watermarks / signatures etc.

Thanks for perservering.

I have to admit that the models aren't the best built I've ever seen - but then again, they were probably built many years ago and have suffered the ravages of time.

Some are very well built, almost professional, but must be further down the boxes...

There will be a short interlude to build a suitable background, get lessons from Lloyd-H, number them properly, ensure they are undamaged, and produce a 3D interactive surround sound experience... or maybe not. I'm off on business so will get back on it then. Thanks for the replies.

Definitely sad cases those.

Reading from left to right -

Top Pair - Dornier 215 and Blohm Und Voss BV141 (both Airfix)

Second Pair - Lockheed Hudson and not sure. It could be a Vought Kingfisher (Hudson Airfix - other, don't know but if a Kingfisher, probably Airfix)

Third Pair - Mitsubishi Betty and Focke Wulf Fw200 Condor (both Revell).

When Eric Brown described taking off in one of those he said it felt 'as if something was missing' - got a good laugh!

Holy Thread Res... e.t.c...

OK So after the PH massive dissing my diarama skills, I have over the last couple of years had my office altered to include a dispaly case where I have started a painted runway with grass and bushes so I can display the collection.

Started to poulate it but have found even more models so will start to post up when I can get photos.
