Where to buy a non standard toilet seat
Discussion
I'm not completely useless before anyone starts pulling their hair out at pointless questions....
The previous owner of my house installed a very expensive bathroom, but I get the impression he lead to regret it when he came to replace the toilet seat as a replacement from the manufacturer is... wait for it... £290!!! For an effing toilet seat!
Anyway, it doesn't fit, looks st and isn't even comfortable. So i need a new one but it's 461mm x 381mm which is massive. Wickes claim to sell some at 460mm or thereabouts but after driving for half an hour to get there and then measuring them they are only 440 which is what i have now and ends up leaving half the porcelain rim showing.
I've trawled the internet and can't find anything. Can anyone give me any idea where to look? Getting one made is £150 or so and I just want to but a normal one sub £50 if possible.
Thanks

Thanks but it's still £150. I was hoping for sub £50 like a normal seat.55palfers said:

Could do but it matches the whole suite and as I sai it was bloody expensive when new and there's nothing wrong with it.What shape is the seat?

I used these people. I had a broken seat which I couldn't identify so I sent them a picture, they identified it and were able to source me an original replacement for about £130, which is less than I could find anywhere else online.A toilet seat that doesn't fit properly will look rubbish and is more likely to fail quicker due to pressure on hinges. Plus, even at £150, it's a lot cheaper than fitting a new toilet.

As advertised in Country Life http://www.looseats.com
They do a "thunderbox" seat. Just buy that. Gassing Station | Homes, Gardens and DIY | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
