Pollon filter on Passat 3G/B8 (2015 model)

My windscreen takes an age to demist in the morning and sometimes even mists up whilst driving.

Air con is always on and the setting is never in recirc mode. It's an SE Business so doesn't have climate control.

My thoughts are that the pollen filter is wet and blocked and needs changing. They are so cheap it's worth doing anyway. Can somebody tell me where it is located please?

(Car has done 65k so if the dealer didn't change it when they should, it could be quite mucky by now).

Actually, that's the 3B model which is circa year 2000. Still worth checking I suppose.

Its located under the glove box, which is where I would have first expected it to be

Not sure why I linked to that youtube clip, I saw the 3B and 3G and copied the wrong link !
Was watching it and thinking what a awkward place to put it.

More of a pain to change when it's under the glove box tbh, I'd much rather have it in the scuttle.

Again, that's the previous model as the Americans didn't get the lastest shape Passat until 2016 whereas Europeans got it earlier.

Certinaly looks more the part though.

It's behind the glovebox, you need to remove the door. Press the sides in and pull it down, it'll be obvious after that.

As you were typing this I found it by dropping he glovebox but I'll be buggered if I can get it out.

Finally out and quite mucky however it is very dry.

Iirc the lid slides to the side one way or the other then unclips, be ready for tons of dead leaves, feathers and muck.
