I have been given a V12VS Volante for a couple of days over the weekend . I'll do a review vs the 911r .
I'm so excited

So cool - love to see it - have you got a manual roadster?

Can't wait to hear your thoughts! If the v12vs is a manual will be interesting to see how it compares to the 911r

Yes indeed it's. Amanual , will be a little unfair as its a roadster but I'll get the gist . Anyone with a manual coupe in or around Surrey wants to get together and do some driving , changing seats etc with an r It would be great

I was down at HWM today and they did tell me all about it :-)

It was suggested that you liked the V12S quite a lot, in fact quite a lot more than the 911R

Please to hear it - sounds like you will be getting the last cars - congratulations - I may be a bit biased, but a fine choice

I'm now coming up to 2000 miles on mine an every time I know I'm going to drive it that day - I still get excited

Drove and aventador s the other day - loved it and put down a deposit - still was not as good as the V12S Manual.....

Andy as you've taken delivery of a roadster recently, could you confirm a few standard spec questions re items which I think may have been dropped - I think some may be dropped on coupe but not roadster

rear coat hooks - think they have been dropped on coupe, but saw a glimpse of them in your roadster video

boot pull in leather - again, coupe owners on here (I think) have suggested it is no longer standard, but it appears on your car - do you know if that carried a cost ?

lighter/accessory sockets - some on here again have suggested some may have been dropped. On my roadster, apart from inside the highline console and in the 'utility compartment' (where the smokers pack is fitted) I have one in the boot and one in the rear cubby hole, behind the seats, between the two 'humps' Does yours have those too ?

cheers

Hi Jonby,

Coat hooks tick
Leather boot stap closer tick
Lighter accesory socket in boot tick
Not sure about between humps

On another note I saw the roadster at HWM late last week - it was sold at £170k but factory stepped in and stopped the sale until it has higher mileage otherwise it looks like it was being flipped and apparently the factory was none too happy - looks great

That sounds a little odd:

1. They don't seem to be stopping the GT8 trades
2. How will the car get higher miles? Was it in SOR?

I'm happy to see the factory clamping down on flipping though

cheers, thats really useful

the power socket on mine is on the front inside wall to the cubby hole - very useful for go pro ! I wonder if that's the one referred to when someone said they had dropped one

1. This is the HWM demo car and the factory was not keen on it looking like it was being flipped whilst owned as a demo car - apparantly they called HWM and had a word
2. Its still being used as a demo car hence why it was avalible for an anextended test by wtdoom

HWM are aloud to sell it with either a higher mileage and openly market it or as is but not to a flipper or to openly market it...

Go figure

I would suggest just go buy it !!!!!

Thanks Andy, that makes sense, thought it was an ex-customer car, didn't realise they were being cheeky with their own demo

I'm still keen on a manual roadster, but waiting to see where AML ends up with the "Ultimate" edition (or whatever the run out model ends up being called).

I enquired with the Barista at Works about a week about and was told that the "run out" edition was already sold out, even though they themselves were waiting for details from Gaydon. I don't know whether he just meant that the Works allocation was gone or whether the whole production had already been pre-sold.

Either way, as it's not possible to order a "normal" V12SR now, it doesn't look like I'll be getting one anytime soon frown
