1969 Dodge Charger: Time for Tea?
15 years in the making, here's the story of one man's spectacular Dodge...
A man who doesn't shy away from getting his hands dirty, he has built a launch pad for a space recovery vehicle for NASA and restored cars including a 1953 MG TF, Chevy Chevelle and a 1963 split-window Corvette. A terrible motorcycle accident left him with a broken back and over two years of recovery. In hospital, he was asked by his girlfriend whether he would give up motorbikes. His answer? Only if he could get a Hemi Charger...
Much like his recovery, the restoration of his Hemi was a slow process. He found 'his' Charger up for sale in Denver with the body in a field and the engine parts spread out in the garage. Restoring it over 15 years, Bromley found the car to be complete, with only the fuel pump and alternator being non-original. Now painted in the later Sublime Green colour, Bromley isn't too bothered about upsetting the purists; he enjoys driving it and loves the colour - bravo that man!
