I spotted this pic on the BBC Sport Tour de France updates:

it appears to be the blurry rear quarter of a Skoda (Superb?) convertible- can anyone confirm? I can't find anything concrete, aside from photoshop renderings, but there is an uncanny resemblance I think to one of these renders on youTube:

Anyone have any more info on this? Is it a one off, or the first outing of a new model? or am I being blind?!

Skoda are big sponsors of the TDF, so their logo is everywhere.

Skoda have supplied the official cars.

The convertible Audis are medical cars, the staff can stand up in the car and give minor treatment without the cyclist stopping.

Audi,Skoda etc,all VAG group.

So why does there appear to be a boot spoiler that's extended? It can't be the blurring of the photograph otherwise whey the black marks?

Er, how is the spoiler any different to the press photo posted? You can tell its elongated.

Riders in the Tour de France are permitted to hold on to the medical car when the doctor is treating them.
