Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta at Pebble Beach

Just when you thought Pagani was done making Zondas!

The Zonda is a model that Horacio Pagani doesn't seem to want to let go of; remember the last of the breed was meant to be the Zonda Tricolore, back in 2011. Then there was another, then just one more, then the 760 model, and the Zonda Zozo as well.

Well this is different!
Well this is different!
Once again, Horacio and his team of specialists in the Uno-di-Uno division of Pagani set about making a very special Zonda - one Horacio imagined as his own (hasn't he done that with all of them?). The one-of-three HP Barchetta has a cropped windscreen and plenty of carbon composites including the partially covered rear wheels (note silver on the left, and blue on the right) as seen on the Zozo. A roof scoop, rear wing and rear diffuser appear similar to that seen on the Cinque.

Inside, the seats are from a Huayra in white leather with tartan and blue highlights inspired by classic motorsport. Weighing in at 1,250kg, power is believed to be produced by the Mercedes-AMG V12 out of the Huayra but with a manual gearbox. Although it sounds like the old V12 to us... It is being touted as the last of the Zonda legacy with one going to Horacio's private collection, but you never know, another one-off might pop up again at some point soon...

I thought Pagani would still built Zonda's as long as one had the required funds to do so?

That being said, I'm not sure what the cognoscenti will make of this...

ETA Damn you, autocorrect, damn you to hell!

I find the exposed and coloured carbon a bit naff. I don't like the rear wheel spats.

I've always liked the snorkel scoops, and I've be known to take the windscreens of my cars (Caterhams, MGs), so what's not to like.

The Zonda Revolucion was the best. The fact they made a road-going version of it for those who were sufficiently wealthy was brilliant.

This doesn't have quite the same feel to it unfortunately.

Much like Lamborghini the earliest models are the best with each iteration carrying additional chintzy adornments that lessen the cohesion of the design.

The Zonda was perhaps best as C12S or maybe F.

The zonda roadster is hands-down the most beautiful car I have ever seen in movement on the road. I can't say whether this iteration is an improvement or not as these cars have to be seen to be judged.

There was a bunch of Zonda's that gathered at the Silverstone classic a few years ago (2012 I think), they were pure automotive art, even up against the exotica we had there that year.

I looks like the sort of Zonda my 11 year old would come up if you could customize them on Forza.

That seems to have been Pagani's job at Lamborghini so he has a bit of history there hehe

In terms of styling, the Zonda peaked at the F and slowly went downhill from there.

I could not agree more, and I am a life long Pagani fanboy. This car just looks wrong and even worse when someone is driving it as their head tends to sit above the windscreen frown
