Lamborghini Diablo GTR: Pic of the Week
The last scary Lamborghini?
This Diablo you see before you isn't anything ordinary; the GTR was Lamborghini's first foray into motorsport as a factory team. This GTR is one of 30 made, number 19 to be exact, and was fully restored in 2012/13. Note that gigantic wing for extra downforce, a completely stripped interior - but still with a manual gearbox - and those gorgeous Speedline wheels. The incredibly aggressive bodywork is in carbon, saving further weight. Power? 590hp from the 6.0-litre V12, enough for a 210mph top speed.
And look at it! Parked in an empty warehouse, light pouring in from the window highlighting the purposeful rear end, this Diablo has so much presence. All Diablos do, of course, but this motorsport version ramps it up even further. Incredibly enough this GTR didn't sell at RM Auctions Monterey sale so, you never know, a cheeky bid around the $600,000 estimate could secure it...

Tesla for me is the ultimate buzz kill for any performance cars. Fast, boring, anything but car fan focussed. I'd rather have diseases than drive an EV.
