Top Gun is a musical because the lead actor sings.

I think the Blues Brothers is boring.
I've watched it a few times now to try and get it but I never have. It's got all the ingredients I enjoy in a film but I just don't find it funny.

I find I Am Legend much scarier than IT.

I hate ALL musicals.
Without exception and including the ones I haven't seen even a minute of. They make me angry if I am forced to endure more than a few minutes of them, I've never made it through an entire musical and never will.

Agree. I flat refuse to watch them. Never seen Lion King or Frozen and with two young daughters this is an achievement in itself smile

There's a thread on this, but Withnail & I is boring rubbish.

Enter the Dragon is not Bruce Lee's best film, Way of the Dragon is.

The Magnificent Seven (Sturges version) is better than Seven Samurai.

The Wizard of Oz is overrated.

Agree with this as well. Only exception is South Park: bigger Longer and Uncut. Musicals are acceptable with swear words and fart jokes smile

Especially since he is very small, and has to hide behind a screen and amplify his voice. biggrin

I hate musicals with a passion but love Bugsy Malone and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Childhood memories die hard I guess.

All "reality TV" shows are rubbish and are responsible for the overall decline in decent television over the last couple of decades.
This is an 'unpopular' view????

Jackie Brown was Tarantino's best movie.
You might be right there.

I tend to go through a bit of an arc with his films, I almost always dislike them the first time I watch them, they're graphic to the point of harsh and I'm in too much shock to see the story - but I tend to love them second time around, bar Kill Bill 1/2 and Death Proof, for some reason I've never liked them.

I know he's made a lot more, but he talks about his 8 Films, I'm sure he said at one point he'd only make 8, but he's still working, anyway:

Reservoir Dogs
Pulp Fiction.
Jackie Brown.
Kill Bill.
Death Proof.
Inglourious Basterds.
Django Unchained.
The Hateful Eight.

It's hard to argue that Jackie Brown can't be number 1, Reservoir Dogs is good, but it's not perfect, Pulp Fiction is close, I didn't like Kill Bill or Death Proof, Inglorious is great but I've never been compelled to watch it more than once or twice, Django is my favourite, Hateful Eight is good, but it's too long and self-indulgent and I suppose I'm a bit miffed it wasn't the direct sequel to Django it could have been. .

This ^^^^^. 110%.

Two And A Half Men is the most under-rated sitcom in the UK.

Game Of Thrones is hobbity tosh.

Good debate, I've a few:

The Big Bang Theory. I really can't see how it is so popular, you can see the jokes coming a mile off and when they do arrive they are derivative and mundane.

Honky Tonk Freeway is a comedic masterpiece.

The Party is Blake Edward's finest work, vastly eclipsing the Pink Panther series.

Frankie Boyle is about as funny as burning kittens, a fail compounded by his attempt to be offensive.

Saxondale is Coogan's finest character.

Peter Kay's efforts went downhill after The Services/TPKT (including Phoenix Nights which is still great but still represents a decline)

I always preferred Fifth Gear to Top Gear.

Harry Potter films are vastly overrated, I haven't read the books but the acting of the young characters is dreadful throughout, so much as I am always surprised when I remember the likes of Gambon, Jones, Smith, Coltrane are in it.

Apart from a few rare scenes, I never really understood the success of Friends.

I have never understood the success of Ian McShane nor Kim Dickens.

I have genuinely enjoyed all of the Fast and Furious movies, they are easy watching once you take them for what they were intended to be.

I cannot abide any kind of Big Brother incarnation however am riveted to I'm a Celebrity.

I enjoyed Eldorado.

Human Remains, Marion & Geoff and A Summer Party were Rob Brydon's best work, vastly better than The Trip or Gavin & Stacey.

I enjoy pretty much anything the Rock is involved in, likewise Adam Sandler.

Ooooo I have to add that Tokyo Drift was the best F&F movie of the series.
