Warren Classic 2017: PH Photo Gallery

Take a moment to reminisce over wonderful cars and warmer days...

2017 is over, the celebrations are through, and the barren early months of the year lie between us and spring. Better, warmer, times are ahead though, so, to remind ourselves that there is light at the end of the cold wet tunnel called winter, here's a look back on an event from the end of last summer.

Warren Classic and Concours returned for the fifth time in September 2017 in the serene setting of the Warren Golf and Country Club in Essex. Over 120 cars were entered in 14 different classes. Cars were judged by their condition, history, patina, presentation, and were awarded bonus points if they had taken place in the 'Warren Tour' on the previous day.

The overall winner of the show was a breathtaking 1960 Alfa Romeo 3000CM 'Superflow IV'. This very car was used by Pininfarina as a design mule throughout the 50s, after placing second in the 1953 Mille Miglia in the hands of Juan Manuel Fangio. The car reached its final form as the 'Superflow IV' in 1960 and has remained unchanged since being presented at the Geneva Motor Show that year. What a stunning and interesting piece of automotive history.

Other class winners included a breath-taking Lamborghini Miura SV and a Ferrari 250 MM Vignale Spyder, as well as the monstrous Pagani Zonda 760VR. Elsewhere in the show, a plethora of owners' clubs and manufacturers stands put on a strong display, with cars to cater for just about every taste.

The focal point of the lawn however, was probably the three identical Ferrari Enzos side by side, with two LaFerraris, two 300SLs, and a Bugatti Veyron close by for good measure. The brand-new Rolls Royce Phantom VIII even made an appearance, and it's safe to say it's very striking in the flesh!

All in all, the event was an excellent day out and well worth a visit when it returns on September 23rd 2018.

It was a great show. Will be doing it this year hopefully.
However, just a bit better organisation on parking some of the cars would be better.
I must have been one of a handful of cars there sporting a PH Badge and you didn't take my picture!!!!

It was indeed an excellent day out - I would recommend it. My personal highlight was standing next to the Porsche 917 replica when the owner started it up and gave it the beans - fantastic noise!
